FRAGMENTS OF FORM

A body of new paintings and drawings exploring the relationship between the human figure, abstraction, and memory.

The space between recognition and abstraction.

These works begin with the idea of something familiar - the face, figure, or gesture - and gradually become fragmented through layers of line, texture, and erasure. What remains is a tension between presence and absence.

A figure in transition.

The human figure remains as a central focus, even as its boundaries are interrupted by fractured abstraction. Faces and bodies emerge through complex structures of line and fragments.

Beyond recognition.

Without the figure, the same visual language of fragmentation becomes a study of movement, tension, and the relationships between forms. These abstract works explore structures that dissolve and emerge simultaneously.

The language of a line.

Drawing is the foundation of my work. The image remains intentionally unstable and lines and outlines fragments converge to develop the suggestion of form.
